Vatican City: The Pope will visit the historic site of St. Francis of Assisi on Sunday, December 1st. The pope told the public at an open forum yesterday.

The vicar of the Franciscan Pilgrimage, Fr. Luciano de Guisti stated in an interview with the Capuchin Vatican News Agency. The meadow was established for the first time in history on Christmas Day 1223.

The resurrection of the Divine Child, Mary, and Joseph, the shepherds, and the angels, was not of the sculptures, but of the persons. Along with them were herds of livestock, actively directed in the first meadow. A large number of people came from the town of Grecia on a foggy night to join the sacrifice at the cave. The following year it was repeated in the Vatican and Assisi. It has since spread throughout the world.
