Holy Father Pope Francis has sent his greetings and support to the 15th annual FiabaDay conference for the Italian National Day for the Abolition of inequalities and architectural barriers. The greetings from His Holiness Pope Francis came in a telegramme signed by His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State and sent to Giuseppe Trieste, President of Fiaba Onlus.

As reported by en.radiovaticana.va, the message read that “His Holiness sends his thoughts to those who work to guarantee equal opportunities of life for all, independent from economic or social conditions, promoting cultural change focused on abolishing all existing barriers.” Further, the message stated,  “The Holy Father hopes the awareness of the Christian faith’s fundamental contribution to the growth of the person and society may stimulate an ever more incisive action for the  promotion of the human person.”

FiebaDay 2017 is expected to take place on 1st October in Rome under the auspices of the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers.
