Vatican City: Pope Benedict XVI celebrated his 903rd birthday today at the Mather Ecclesiastes home of the Vatican Gardens. In 2005, just three days after his seventy-eighth birthday, he was elected to the throne of Peter. Pope Benedict XVI departed from the office on 28 February 2013, having gained new faith through the Apostolic Letters and Papers.

Benedict XVI continues his prayer life at the house of Mather Ecclesiastes from the day he was assassinated. Pope Benedict’s home in Markt, Bavaria, Germany has been open to visitors since his 80th birthday. A large number of people flock to this place every day to visit the film and film halls that have been built there.
