Palakkad: The Diocese of Palakkad has been appointed auxiliary bishop. Peter Kochupurakkal will be officiated at St. Raphael’s Cathedral, Chakkantara, Palakkad on the 18th. Bishop Mar Jacob Manohar said the rituals were simple in keeping with the COVID regulations issued by the government. Corrections will begin at 10:30 am. The number of participants was limited to a maximum of 100. Invitees will be notified directly. The members are appointed to represent the clergy, ascetics, and the laity. There will be a live telecast of the bishop. The Bishop said the proceeds would be donated to the elderly and destitute.
