The Eparchy of Kalyan in Mumbai began collecting usable items for the victims of Kerala flood. The state has witnessed its worst monsoon since over a century in terms of the impact. Catholic Churches in the country are coming up with new initiatives to help Kerala to regain its hope and future and to rebuild the state in a whole new energetic way. The Diocese of Kalyan has started collecting usable materials and funds for the flood affected Kerala.

The Diocese of Kalyan reminded the faithful that the people in Kerala are now left with absolutely nothing but their own lives and urged the faithful to contribute their bits to help the state to rise and shine again. The Churches of the diocese have started collecting materials and funds in an effective and systematic manner.

The collected materials would be send to Kerala by trucks under the guidance and leadership of Karunya Trust, the social wing of the diocese.
