His Holiness Pope Francis urged the catholics to go above and beyond, loving and forgiving others even when it is undeserved on Wednesday,April 24, as part of his general audience catechesis. His Holiness Pope Francis reminded that, “In Life not everything is resolved with justice and it’s Jesus who inserts the power of forgiveness into human relationships.” He emphasized on the beauty of forgiveness urging the Catholics to think about it and stated that Jesus had already replaced the” law of retaliation” with the” law of love”,hence Love calls for love, Forgiveness calls forgiveness.

The Pontiff also reminded that people who never forgive those who did wrong to them is closing the door of forgiveness for them by God.The Pontiff took the example of the parable of servant who owed a huge debt to his master in the Gospel of Mathew. The servant experienced unexpected grace not only by extension but also with forgiveness of the debt. But the servant was punished by the master when he immediately demanded a smaller debt which his brother had owed to him.Hence he stated if one do not forgive another,he won’t be forgiven either and if one do love another,he won’t be loved either
