PALA: The Farmers’ Conference of the Pala Diocese will be held in Palai today with the slogan ‘Rights Against Neglect’. One lakh farmers will arrive at Palai at 2.30 pm and meet at five centers in the town. The walls will be completed at the Cathedral Stadium, Kottaramattom Junction, East Thadiyoor Church Junction at Ezhuthiyoor bypass, Jalam Bridge Junction and Civil Station Junction on Market Road. Farmers from 170 parishes are led by clergy and various organizers.

Farmers will then march from five centers to the rally at Kurisu Palli, a public rally. Hundreds of thousands of farmers will hold a function at Kurisuppally Junction at 3.30 pm. The meeting will be chaired by Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangat and the peasant solidarity pledge will be taken. The bishop of Kalorangadu will receive from the office bearers of the parochial and parochial signatures of the diocesan peasants within the diocese to be signed by the parish and the parochial level.

The Farmers Protection Conference and the Collectorate march are being organized by Changanassery Archdiocese at 2 pm against farmer neglect. Changanassery Archbishop Mar Joseph Perundotam will inaugurate the Mahasangamam at the EMS Stadium, Alappuzha. Mar Thomas will preside over the floor. Vicar General of the Archdiocese, Morn. Joseph Vaniyapurakkal, Vicar of Alappuzha Forana Philip Thayyil, Chas. Joseph Joseph, Advocate Dr. Sebastian, Pastoral Council Secretary. Dominic Joseph, Archbishop PRO Advocate Joji Chirayil and Catholic Congress President Varghese Antony will speak.
