Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil, Vicar- general of Eparchy of Kalyan, while addressing the Press Conference which was held at Bishop’s House, Powai, on 28th November, 2017, conveyed the true meaning and importance of “EVA-Global Symposium on Life”. The Press Conference which was held a day prior to the much awaited Symposium clearly reflected on the significance and dignity of life and explained the main objectives of the  Symposium. Fr. Paul Kunduparambil, director of Pro-Life Movement of Kalyan Diocese and Fr. Franklin Joseph, director of Kalyan Media Cell presided over the conference along with Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil.

Msgr. Emmanuel Kadankavil remarked that “The value and respect for life is reducing day by day and to counter this death culture, we need to promote the culture of life and this is the main aim of EVA-Global Symposium on Life.” Further, he added, “Life is given by Lord Almighty and we don’t have the rights to destroy any life and so respect for life should reach everyone.” Fr. Paul Kunduparambil highlighted that respect for a life begins at home and emphasized that “A child in the womb is like a weapon-less soldier in the battlefield. A child in the womb has every rights to live but is voiceless and defenseless.” Fr. Franklin highlighted that “The main aim of EVA-Global Symposium on Life is to bring together the people who work for life and increase their orientation in their work.”

“EVA-Global Symposium on Life 2017” is to be held from November 30th to December 2nd at Animation and Renewal Centre (ARC), Panvel, organized by the Eparchy of Kalyan under the guidance of  Fr. Paul Kunduparambil. The Symposium will be attended by more than 200 delegates including priests &Bishops, religious, seminarians and lay men and women from more than 24 Catholic Dioceses in India and abroad.
