WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald Trump on Thursday visited St. John’s Episcopal Church, which has been hit by a wave of protests over the assassination of George Floyd. Trump protests as he steps onto the two-hundred-year-old St. John’s shrine, which was partially burned by protesters, and surrounded by buildings with red letters.

The historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, also known as the “Presidents Church,” was set on fire during a violent protest Sunday night. The outer walls of the temple have been mutilated with red letters. He visited the shrine after the President addressed the nation by standing in the Rose Garden. Trump has condemned the violent protests taking place in his name, promising justice to the family of George Floyd.
