Kalyan Media Cell (KMC), the successfully running Media Department of Kalyan Diocese, began its interesting divine initiative named “DioCom” from 23rd July, 2017. The Media Apostolate, KMC has come up with this mission to make the faithful realize the underlined significance of Communication in today’s era. The name DioCom refers to “Diocese Communication.” and the word “Dio” in the Italian language means “God”, so the name “DioCom” itself means “God Communication.” The Volunteers of KMC started visiting each parish of the Eparchy from 23rd July, to give a detailed session on a very relevant concept of “Safe Digital Banking.”

Fr. Franklin Joseph , the director of  Kalyan Media Cell(KMC), explained and asserted the significance of being digital in this digitalized world by remarking that “ It is important for each one of us to understand the digital systems much closer in order to deal with the new technologies conveniently without being cheated.” Further, he added, “KMC has come up with DioCom so that the people would understand the usage of digital mediums in an easier manner.”

Each parish was decorated with creative charts made by the catechism students and volunteers of KMC that described the importance of digital communication and social media networks. After the mass, the volunteers conducted a presentation on ‘Safe Digital Banking” for 10min and a documentary on KMC. Meanwhile, the volunteers of KMC encouraged the parishioners to click photos with selfie frames of #KMC and #DioCom. Happy Events forms were given for the people who were interested in updating the happy moments in their life on Catholic focus page. The faithful were much interested with the activities of DioCom and this encourages DioCom to continue its mission as the voice of God by being the torchbearers of tomorrow.
