Kottayam: Following the court order, the Changanassery police has registered a case against Vlogger Samuel Koodal, a native of Kalathoor, Pathanamthitta, for insulting Catholic nuns with obscene language on social media. Jose Mathew Olikkal, a native of Changanassery, had filed a case against Samuel in the Changanassery court. The Changanassery police also registered a case on Tuesday as per the court order. Police said they have launched an investigation into the case.

The Women’s Commission also filed a case against Samuel Koodal last week. The Women’s Commission received 139 complaints against him. The complaint alleges sexual harassment of nuns and priests through a Facebook page and a YouTube channel. The nuns also leveled similar allegations against Vijay P Nair, who had to face public protests from Bhagyalakshmi and others. When the Women’s Commission did not take the initial complaint seriously, the complaints came in droves. For the first time in the history of the Kerala Women’s Commission, so many complaints are coming together against one person.
