Lima: Caritas, a Christian organization that brought food to 40,000 families in Peru in the wake of the corona epidemic. The Catholic organization, Caritas, was founded to help families who were living in miserable conditions, unable to find the cost of living due to the social restrictions imposed by Coronavirus Prevention. The donations made by various companies were distributed among the poor families in desperate need of food and other aid through the diocese of Caritas.

In the capital city of Lima, food prepared in the kitchens of various monasteries is served with the help of the army and municipality. In some parts of the country, there is a direct supply of food to households using food vouchers, which meet safety standards. Families in need were identified through a survey conducted within the parish. In addition to distributing groceries to tens of thousands of poor families, the organization is also raising awareness for corona.
