His Excellency Bishop Mar Sebastian Vaniyapurackal, the newly appointed Curia Bishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, while addressing the faithful gathered for the biggest historical event of Eparchy of Kalyan “EVA- Global Symposium on Life” at Animation Renewal Centre (ARC) conveyed the significance of children in a family. His Excellency Bishop Mar Sebastian, during the Holy Mass, reflected on the Bible reading taken from John 17:2, which says, “While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.” His Grace Bishop Mar Sebastian reminded the faithful about the significant role played by a child in a family and reminded that children are a gift of God to their parents.

His Excellency Mar Bishop Sebastian Vaniyapurackal remarked that “ Children are not a choice of parents and parents are also not a choice of their children but they are gifted to each other by the Lord Almighty.” Further, His Grace added, “ As we can see in today’s Bible reading, Jesus Christ never wants anyone to be lost and destroyed because He explained  that we all are children of God and he reminded us that it is our duty to take care of every one that the Lord Almighty has given us.”
