Rome: Cardinal Robert Sara, head of the Vatican Congregation for Worship and Sacraments, condoles the death of Christians in Nigeria on Christmas Day. He has commented on the matter through his Twitter post. He tweeted that the homicide of Christians in Nigeria is a reminder of how many African brothers are risking their own lives for the sake of faith in Christ.

Cardinal Sarah described Nigerian Christians who were persecuted for their faith as martyrs. Sarah tweeted that she did not deny the gospel. Sarah’s tweet, the most beloved among believers, ends with a call to pray for them. Nigerian Christians have been hacked to death by Islamic extremists on Wednesday. On December 26, militants released a video of Christians being murdered.
