Kuruvilangad: Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, head of the Syro-Malabar Church, welcomed Kuruvilangadu. He was on an official visit after the Kuriyalangad Marmariyam Archdiyakkon Pilgrim shrine was converted into a Major Archy Episcopal Church. The Cardinal came to the crowds overlooking the temple courtyard and stone steps. When the Cardinal entered the shrine, smiling and blessing the little ones, they were greeted by hundreds of angels dressed as angels. Mar Alancheri said that the lack of respect and love for the church, the church leadership, the clergy, and the nuns is commendable. He accompanied the believers in the Japmala Pradhanam and gave them the Blessed Sacrament.

The meeting will be held at 8.30 am today. The Holy Mass will be offered at ten and the message will be delivered. Archbishop Mar George Alencherry will release the book ‘Kuriyilangadu Mariyadarsanangal’ edited by Joseph Thayathil. The two-day official visit will be held at 2.30 pm at the Family Meeting of Family Members. On January 21, 2018, the Major Archy Episcopal was granted the title of Major Archy Episcopal in the Syro-Malabar Church. The Cardinal’s first visit was on January 26 and 27 last year.
