Holy Father Pope Francis appointed  Msgr Marc Trudeau as the new Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, California. Upon his ordination as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Msgr Trudeau will become the Titular Bishop of the Diocese of Tinis in Proconsular.

As reported by angelusnews.com, When asked about the biggest adjustment that he has to make in his new ministry, Bishop-Elect Marc Trudeau remarked that “Every change is really hard. I don’t like moving or changing, and that’s been pretty much what you expect when you’re a parish priest is that you move. The hardest part will be the steep learning curve of not really knowing what the auxiliary bishops do.” Further, he added, “It’s like going into a new parish. The first year is pretty much finding out who the players are in the parish, who are the people you can go to, you can trust, who’s going to help you and who’s not going to help you. I think that’s the hardest part.”

Msgr Trudeau was ordained for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 1991. He served as Parochial Vicar at St James the Less parish in La Crescenta, CA (1991-1995), a member of the Presbyteral Council (1993-1999), administrator of St Philip the Apostle parish in Pasadena, CA (1995-2001), and pastor of St Pius X Parish in Santa Fe Springs, CA (2001-2004).
