Rev.Fr Jacob Anil D’zousa has been appointed as the Chaplain for International Young Catholic student’s Asian wing. The Salesian priest heads the Asian division of IYCS(International youth Catholic students) based in Manila, Phillipines.Fr Jacob, born in 1978 belongs to Queen of Universe Church, Ranipura of Mangalore Diocese. Fr. Jacob joined the Salesian seminary in the year 1998. He had his Ordination on December 29,2009.
Rev.Fr Jacob Anil has earlier served as the Co-ordinator of Young Christian students and the Indian Catholic Youth Movement. International Young Catholic students were started in the year of 1946. Recognized by the Holy See as an International Catholic Organisation, the IYCS is a member of the Conference of ICOs. As an NGO, it has consultative status with ECOSOC and UNESCO. The IYCS has the supreme aim of nurturing the youngsters to be the agents of social change following the footsteps of Jesus Christ bearing witness to the Lord’s Lives.
