The Vatican news website reported that Sister Ines Nieves Sancho was found murdered in the village of Nola near the borders with Cameroon and Republic of Congo. The incident is reported to happen on May 22. The 77-year-old sister belonged to the “Filles de Jesus”, or “Daughters of Jesus” Congregation which is based in Massac – Seran in southwestern France. The French Spanish nun taught the destitute women and girls in the volatile Central African Republic.

   Osservatore Romano, a daily Vatican newspaper reported that the murder of the nun is linked with an organ trafficking network. The unknown assailants entered Sister Ines home and forcibly took her to the workshop where she regularly held sewing classes. There the assailants beheaded and mutilated her body. Her body which was found in a horrible state at her workshop in the village of Nola which is a part of Berberati Diocese.

   Pope Francis in his greetings to the French-speaking audience described Sister Ines Nieves Sancho as a ‘women who has given her life for Jesus in the service of the Poor’.She was buried on Tuesday Morning.
