Pala diocese’s Auxillary bishop Mar Jacob Murikan says he wants a monastery in isolation but the current rumors are contradictory. The bishop’s comments came amid strong propaganda through social media that, the Vatican has approved few monasteries the liberty to remain in solitude.
“I had a desire to take monastic solitude for many years. I have also expressed my desire to Pala Diocese Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangatt and Major Archbishop Mar George Allenchery. However, rumors about the sanctioning of any such news if against the truth”, says Mar Jacob Muricken. “Some of the rumors reported nowadays are really contradictory”, he said in a statement today. He also issued a statement that the perpetrators who are failing few priests and the church as a whole through heresies like these shall withdraw themselves from such acts.
from 2nd May, news surfaced on few online portals that Bishop Mar Jacob Muricken is giving up his position as the Auxillary Bishop and is preparing to live a life of monastic solitude. Mar Jacob Murrikken is a person who lived the gospel by donating one of his Kidney to a Hindu Brother while shedding light on the importance of organ donation. He has donated blood more than twenty-six times, including last week.
